Following the recent release of the first "X-Men : The Apocalypse" trailer, a new art work for the upcoming Bryan Singer sequel has been released.

Tagged "Only the strong will survive," the poster features Apocalypse gripping a cracked human skull in his calloused hand.

The upcoming film will mark the end of the X-Men trilogy, with Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) being the greatest threat the X-Men have faced to date.

Read Synopsis below;

“Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible.

Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.

As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”

"X-Men: Apocalypse" stars Oscaar Isaac as the titular villain. New cast additions include  Sophie Turner and Olivia Munn.

Original cast includes Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, and James McAvoy.

X-Men: Apocalypse picks up 10 years after X-Men: Days of Future Past, with Mystique, Xavier, and Magneto reuniting as Apocalypse emerges from his Egyptian tomb and wreaks havoc upon the '80s, recruiting new mutants to help him.

X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
