According to Uche Jombo, who stars in the much talked about movie, the movie is 'the highest grossing opening weekend Nollywood movie.'
Jombo took to her Instagram page to share the good news with the caption;

"Wives on Strike" features Uche Jombo, Chioma Akpotha, Ufuoma Mcdermott, Kehinde Bankole, Kalu Ikeagwu, Julius Agwu, Kenneth Okonkwo among others.
The movie kicked off its first cinema week with 290 shows.
The movie is a hilarious comedy about a group of market women who decided to take matters into their own hands against their husbands in a bid to stir them into standing up for a young girl whom they wanted to protect from the wishes of her own father.
The women, who hilariously interpret their roles, set a series of events in motion to give the movie many moments of laughter without missing a beat on the reason for everyone to know why they are on strike.
Oboli made her directorial debut with the romantic comedy'Being Mrs Elliott.' Her second directorial debut "The First Lady," had also opened as the highest grossing openeing weekend Nigerian film in cinemas.
The recently released "Taxi Driver" is currently the highest grossing opening weekend Nigerian film in cinemas.
In 2014, AY Maknun's "30 Days in Atlanta" grossed 76million Naira seven weeks after it's premiere.
It went further to bring in a total of 137million Naira, making it the highest grossing movie in the Nigerian cinema history.
