The upcoming comedy film which features Uche Jombo, Chioma Akpotha, Ufuoma Mcdermott, Kehinde Bankole, Kalu Ikeagwu, Julius Agwu, Kenneth Okonkwo among others, will have 290 shows in its first week of release.

An excited Oboli took to her Instagram page to share the good news.

"UNPRECEDENTED!!! 290 shows in one week NATIONWIDE says 'Wives On Strike' is a must watch! We are just as excited as the cinema houses! is as HOT as it can be! See you at the cinemas from this Friday April 8! You don't want to miss this one! Tag your peeps to come along with you!," she wrote.

Wives on Strike, is a hilarious comedy about a group of market women who decided to take matters into their own hands against their husbands in a bid to stir them into standing up for a young girl whom they wanted to protect from the wishes of her own father.
The women, who hilariously interpret their roles, set a series of events in motion to give the movie many moments of laughter without missing a beat on the reason for everyone to know why they are on strike.

On Sunday, April 3, 2016, an exclusive premiere for the movie held at the Genesis Deluxe Cinemas VIP Screening Room, and was attended by Omoni Oboli, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Julius Agwu, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, Alex Ekubo, OC Ukeje, Uche Jombo, Uzor Osimkpa among others.
