Two new sneak peek has been released in anticipation of the season's first episode titled "Survival of the Episode."
The election results for the presidential race between Mellie Grant and Francisco Vargas are announced, and the shocking results lead to an explosive outcome, on the highly anticipated season premiere of “Scandal.”

An earlier released trailer featured an expulsion, Papa Pope with a mischievous grin, a tired Mellie who is done running for the presidency and a determined Olivia Pope.
Shonda Rhimes' "Scandal" follows Olivia Pope, a former White House aide, who becomes a political fixer and starts her own crisis management firm.
It also revolves around Fitzgerald Grant, the President of the United States of America, who was married to Mellie Grant and had an affair with the White House aide Olivia Pope.
InCyrus Beene was announced as Frankie Vargas' vice presidential running mate, while Jake Ballard was selected as Mellie's running mate, a decision made by Olivia to save his life.
