Angelina Jolie screens movie at the Vatican, meets Pope Francis

Angelina Jolie has met the Pope! The actress met with the pope during her visit to Rome for the private screening of her movie 'Unbroken'.

Hollywood actress, Angelina Jolie met with the Pope, Pope Francis on Thursday, January 8, 2014. The actress met with him in Vatican where she hosted a special screening of her movie Unbroken for the Political Academy of Sciences.

Speaking on being invited, Angelina said it is an honour and a tribute to be invited to the Vatican by the head of the Catholic church.

"Being invited with my film to the Vatican is an honor and a great tribute to the story that I have told in Unbroken. The story of the hero Louis a great example of strength and forgiveness." - She said.

The movie 'Unbroken' is directed by Jolie and tells the story of American Olympian and world war II hero, Louis Zamperini, whose plane was shot down over the Pacific during World War II.
