Meet top 3 finalists

Meet these three presenters who made it to the final stage of the TLC Next Great Presenter competition.

After two days of training and various mentorship session, the top 3 TLC Next Great Presenter finalists have been chosen.

The lucky winner will be the channel’s first-ever African presenter and host TLC TOP 10 – a brand new four-part series coming to TLC Entertainment (DStv 172) this December.

Mpiwa Bagwasi – Gaborone, Botswana

"For me it started with a dream and I was fortunate enough to find this opportunity which validated that dream. I’m extremely excited that TLC is giving Africans the opportunity to be recognised. Being at boot camp validated that I am indeed on the right path. This has been an amazing experience from the workshops to the judge’s feedback as well as the practical sessions and I’m thrilled that the best of what we learnt paid off in the end," says Mpiwa.

"I can’t believe I’ve made it through boot camp. I feel so privileged to have been selected as one of the three finalists and have the opportunity to represent South Africa. TLC is all about celebrating real people and that is everything I’ve fought to be. I truly hope that Africa votes for me to become TLC’s Next Great Presenter and put this amazing continent on the map," says Star.

"I am excited to be selected as one of the top 3 by a brand that unapologetically celebrates difference and tells authentic stories. Throughout this whole process TLC has allowed me to be me and I thank them for that. This experience has been humbling and rewarding and I thank everyone for their support so far and I look forward to the next stage."
