Thousands attend auditions for TV series [Photos]

Thousands of Nigerian youths gather for auditions for upcoming seasons of MTV Shuga. See photos.

Auditions for the upcoming seasons of MTV  Shuga pulled quite a large crowd on Saturday, August 12, 2017.

The audition which kicked off at 9am came to an end at 6pm with aspiring actors vying for spots on the successful TV series.

Actors who were unable to attend the audition had the option of submitting a short video audition on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, using the hashtag #MTVShugaAudition with a script made available by organizers.

Popular actors and returning cast members of MTV Shuga; Timini Egbuson, Jemima Osunde and Sharon Ezeamaka were in attendance at the event which held at Planet One, Maryland, Ikeja, Lagos.

Others in attendance include: Emmanuel Ikubese, Ehiz Okoeguale, Small Doctor, Tomi Thomas, Folu Stormz, and Somadina Anyama.

MTV Shuga is a show which has championed and exhibited several Nigerian talents including Egbuson, Osunde and Dorcas Shola Fapson.

Following an emotional and educative fifth season which was set in South Africa, "Shuga" is set to return to Nigeria for its sixth and seventh seasons.

The sixth and seventh seasons of MTV Shuga will premiere on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) and BET (DStv channel 129), as well as MTV networks and other third party broadcasters around the world in 2018.

The seasons will featureTimini Egbuson, Sharon Ezeamaka andJemima Osunde, and will showcase issues surrounding the lives of vibrant youths in the Nigerian society.
