"The Voice" Africa Magic set to debut Nigerian version singing competition

Entertainment content provider, Africa Magic, is launching The Voice Nigeria, a Nigerian version of the internationally acclaimed reality singing competition.

According to the Network's website,  auditions will begin on January 8, 2016, while the show will kick off in April 2016.

The international version of show was launched in 2010, and has had renowned artistes like Adam Levine, Blake Sheldon, Christina Aguilera, Shakira, Tom Jones, Pharrell Williams, Kylie Minogue and Ricky Martin as coaches.

 

"The Voice Nigeria"  will use the same format, including a panel of four coaches who critique the contestants’ performances.

The coaches will guide their teams of selected artists through the remainder of the season whilst also competing to ensure that their act wins the competition.

Auditions for the competition is scheduled to hold at these various audition venues, across four cities:

Port Harcourt: January 9 and 10, 2016 at the Viontel Hotel Plot 96 Stadium Road G.R.A 


Calabar: January 9 and 10, 2016 at the Channel View Hotels, 27 MCC Road

Abuja: January 16 and 17, 2016 at the Bolingo Hotels, Independent Avenue, Central Business District, Garki


Lagos: January 16 and 17, 2016 at the Freedom Park; 1 Hospital Road, Old Prison Ground
