Talent Management to Host Creative Sessions at AFRIFF

'Restless Talent Management' presents you with an opportunity to pitch your creative ideas before industry professionals.

Restless Talent Management, the first global management company to focus on African talent, will be hosting two Creative Sessions, 'How To Pitch Workshop' and  'The Restless Pitch' at the upcoming 2014 African Film International Festival (AFRIFF) in Calabar, Nigeria.

The 'How To Pitch Workshop' isscheduled for Friday 14th November, 12pm - 1pm and  'The Restless Pitch' scheduled for Friday, 14th November, 3pm - 5pm.

The Restless Pitch which is organized in partnership with the festival, is an open, dynamic and fun pitching session that takes place in front of a live audience and a panel of experts. The Restless Pitch has been held at various film festivals in Africa and Europe.

Primarily targeted at writers, directors or producers, The Restless Pitch offers a unique opportunity to engage creatively with industry experts who specialize in developing ideas. With a focus on creative storytelling, the Pitch is open to feature films, short films, animation, scripted television, documentary or transmedia ideas. Projects can be at any stage, from early concept to fully developed.

In order to maintain fairness, The Restless Pitch works on a lottery system. Interested participants place their business cards in the fish bowl provided at the event, and cards are randomly selected by a member of the panel of experts. The owner of the selected card is then invited up on stage and must present their idea in under 3 minutes.

The experts give immediate and honest feedback on the concepts and their presentation. Even for those who don’t pitch on the day, it is a great opportunity to learn about the pitching process, develop one's creative instincts and network with the professionals in attendance.

The experts panel is composed of 6-8 leading industry professionals, with celebrities and suits forming a balance of the creative and the financial. Following the announcement of our panelists, we expect interested candidates to do some homework on the experts to understand better what kind of pitch would work.

Winners will be receiving prizes that are designed to further help them develop their projects in a meaningful way.
