James Bond, no matter the movie, requires some mean machines to fight the baddies, as they often have a few formidable runabouts themselves. Thankfully, 007’s latest saga, Spectre, is no different.
Ensuring the success of Britain’s most famous secret agent, Jaguar Land Rover provided three distinctive vehicles for the production: the Jaguar C-X75, Range Rover Sport SVR, and a highly-modified Land Rover Defender.
Unveiled in Frankfurt by Spectre stars Naomie Harris (Moneypenny) and David Bautista (Hinx), the three vehicles are stars in their own right.
The C-X75 supercar, driven by Hinx, is the most advanced Jag ever built — if the copper paint and scissor doors didn’t give it away.
The most powerful Land Rover ever, the SVR, was used in scenes in Austria — likely with the pedal mashed into the carpet.
Finally, taking things from the street to, we have the Defender, which, for Spectre was blessed with 37-inch tires. They not only make the thing looks seriously intimidating but also help protect the underbody from the extreme, snow-covered conditions the producers of the film tossed at it.
If you’re keen to see more of not only the latest Bond adventure but also these stunning British gas-burners, Jaguar and Land Rover will soon be sharing footage of the cars, including a 360 dynamic walk-around of the Jaguar C-X75.
