Bomb scare puts movie shoot on hold

According to reports, filming was put on hold after a grenade was found on movie set!

A bomb scare has halted the filming of , a new movie starring Amy Smart and Alfred Molina.

TMZ reports that the bomb scare began when location scouts showed up early Friday morning in an Altadena, CA neighborhood to begin work on the first day of shooting.

The movie director, Sean Hanish revealed that the scouts stumbled upon what looks like an old, rusted grenade in a driveway and immediately called on-set fire officials after which the police and bomb squad were alerted.

Hanish further revealed that he was only about 3 shots into filming when the discovery was made.

Sources disclosed that the bomb squad identified the object as a WWII era training grenade after taking a good look.

The movie set has since been cleared safe to resume filming.
