Following last weekend's box office flop, things are back to life with Dwayne Jonson's film 'San Andreas.'
Emerging as Johnson’s biggest opening movie outside the 'Fast and Furious' franchise, the movie opened in 3,777 theaters on Friday, bringing in an estimate of $53.2 million.
'Pitch Perfect 2' came second with $14.8 million, grossing $80.7 million oversees, amounting to a total of $228 million.
Brad Bird’s 'Tomorrowland' took the third place with a total of $133 million grossing wordwide.
