Event set to showcase African film makers

Upcoming award event is aimed at recognising filmmakers, while giving them the opportunity to win US$5000.

Content aggregator ReelAfrican has launched the ReelAfrican Awards, an opportunity for African filmmakers to be recognised and also win their share of US$5000.

The film awards, which run from July 17 to October 2015, offers both established and emerging film makers on the continent the opportunity to enter in a range of categories.

“We specialise in distributing quality Pan-African content to worldwide audiences, through strategic distribution agreements with key video-on-demand partners, so the ReelAfrican awards is a great opportunity for African film makers.

They will get the chance to market their content and through our revenue sharing model they can also make revenue from their content.” Manager of ReelAfrican Thabo Dabengwa said.
