Oronto Douglas Late presidential aide gets posthumous award at AMAA 2015

On Saturday, September 26, 2015, late presidential aide, Oronto Douglas, received a posthumous award at the AMAA 2015 awards night in South Africa.

Late Oronto Douglas, who was the late special adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Research, Documentation and Strategy, was honoured at the 2015 AMAA award.

The late Oronto received a posthumous award for supporting the creative industry during his lifetime.

Oronto who was also a lawyer and activist, was also a friend of the industry as some actors were left in shock following his death, and took to their various social media accounts to pay tributes.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, some top Nollywood actors gathered at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos , to pay tribute to late Oronto.

Oronto who passed on at the State House clinic on Thursday, April 9, 2015, after battling with cancer, was buried on May 2, 2015.
