In a recent interview with Pulse Nigeria, Nollywood actor and multiple AMVCA award winning actor, OC Ukeje, explained why Nollywood is yet to receive an Oscar nomination.

"The issue is making films that meet up with the standard that they want" he said.

"We are glad that o, it would not be said that we were not considered. We have the opportunity, we just need to be able to make the films." - OC added.

AFRIFF boss, undefined recently also spoke on why Nigerian films are yet to get recognition at the Oscars and Golden Globes despite efforts by the industry practitioners.
