Omoni Oboli's 2015 comedy movie "The First Lady," has won the 'Audience Choice award' at the 2016 edition of the Nollywood Week Paris film festival.
The event which kicked off on June 2, came to an end on June 5, 2016 at the Cinéma l’Arlequin in Paris, France.
Starring Oboli as Michelle, and Alexx Ekubo as Obama, the movie also stars Chinedu Ikedieze, Joseph Benjamin, Yvonne Jegede, Udoka Oyeka and Tony Monjaro, and is directed and produced by Omoni Oboli.

In a classic Cinderella like story, a prostitute, Michelle, is stuck in a world she couldn't escape from. Her hope that one day a Prince Charming would rescue her from it all, seems lost .
A heir to an empire, Kenechi, is transformed into a child by an overly ambitious uncle who wants the empire to himself.
Bound by a shared destiny, Michelle finds that she might be doing the rescuing until she realises there's no escaping her pimp (Obama), who would do anything to keep her as his First Lady.

The award was received by Ramsey Nouah and Kemi Lala Akindoju on behalf of Oboli who was absent.
As the winner, Omoni gets lens support worth over 30,000 euros for her next production.
"The First Lady" joins past winners including "The Figurine," "The Meeting," and "Dazzling Mirage."
