The last edition of GDC's Nolly Thursdays held on Thursday, July 21, 2016, with the special guest as Kunle Afolayan.

The last edition of the event held on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Genesis Deluxe Cinemas, Maryland, with Kunle Afolayan headlining.

His latest and much talked about movie "The CEO," also screened at event.

A multiple award-winning actor, producer and director, Kunle Afolayan is a former banker and a graduate of the New York Film Academy. He is the CEO of Golden Effects Pictures. His previous works include "October 1 (2014)", "Dazzling Mirage (2014)", "Phone Swap (2012)", "The Figurine: Araromire (2009)," and "Irapada (2006)".

"The CEO" features Wale Ojo, Lala Akindoju, Angelique Kidjo, Aurelie Eliam, Hilda Dokubo, Jimmy Jean Louis, Peter King, Nico Panagio among others.

Synopsis of "The CEO"

Set mainly on a beautiful beach resort on the outskirts of Lagos in Nigeria, “The CEO” is a mystery-thriller surrounding five top executives from across Africa who are despatched on a one-week leadership retreat by a multinational telecommunications firm, to determine which one to appoint as the firm’s new CEO. Things go awry when one-by-one the executives are eliminated in sudden death circumstances, and the finger falls on the last two remaining executive as prime suspects.
