"Slow Country" to screen at upcoming edition

"Slow Country" will screen at the next edition of Nolly Thursdays with its cast and crew as special guests.

The special guests for the event which will hold on Thursday, May 25, 2017, are Sambisa Nzeribe and Tope Tedela, who starred in the movie as Tuvi and Osas respectively.

Chiedozie Nzeribe Siztus is an actor and model. He holds a degree in Creative Arts from the University of Lagos.

Popularly known as Sambasa, which is an acronym of his philosophy about life ‘Surviving -And-Maintaining-Balance-Against-Societal-Aggression’,  his breakthrough into Nollywood came after his role in the movie "A Mile From Home."

He won AMVCA Best Supporting Actor for the movie “A Soldier’s Story" and Best Actor in 2017 for his role in "Slow Country."

Tedela is an an actor. He holds a degree in Mass-communication from the University of Lagos.

His portrayal of Lala in the movie 'A Mile From Home' earned him a Best Actor in a Drama win at the second Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).

Written, produced and directed by Eric Aghimien, "Slow Country" also stars Ivie Okujaye,  Majid Michel, Richards Brutu among others.

Slow Country” tells the story about a homeless teenage mother, armed with her desperate ‘mother instinct’ to provide a safe haven for her son got herself trapped in prostitution and drug trafficking.

Trouble however erupts the moment she decides to turn a new leaf and quit. Alas, her boss, a ruthless human and a notorious drug traffic king won’t let her loose from his leash.

Nolly Thursdays will air on TrybeTv(GoTVngCh.97)  by 5:30pm and ONTV(UHF Ch.41, GoTV Ch.96) by 7:30pm.
