The nominees for the 2016 NAACP Image Award, which holds on February 5, were announced on Tuesday at a press conference held at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.

While "Creed" and "Straight Outta Compton" led the nominations in the movie section, "Empire" and "Backlish" took the lead in TV section.

ABC led all networks with 23 nominations, Fox with 10, Starz and BET with seven and Comedy Central with six.
