Speaking on the experience, Cruise said “I couldn’t sleep the night before, and then came the day — I was like, OK, this is really going to happen.”

“If something went wrong, I can’t get into the airplane until we land … I’m feeling the force of the wind hit me — I’m actually scared sh**less," he added.

The 53-year-old Golden Globe winning actor also took to Twitter to confirm the stunts in the upcoming sequel.

"You can't hang a multimillion-dollar star on the outside of an airplane and fly around in a normal world, but Tom wanted to be on the outside of that plane," stunt coordinator Wade Eastwood said.

In 2011's 'Ghost Protocol,' his character scaled the top of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai - which is the tallest man-made structure in the world.
