Actor joins 2017 reboot of "Spider-Man"

Michael Barbieri is the latest addition to cast of the upcoming 2017 reboot of Marvel superhero film titled “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”

Sony Pictures has announced that 14-year-old Michael Barbieri will star in the upcoming in a mystery role.

The actor will star in the movie alongside undefinedas Peter Parker,undefinedthe adoptive mother of Peter Parker, and Robert Downey Jnr as Iron Man.

Barbieri recently joined the cast of Stephen King adaptation "The Dark Tower," and is best known for his debut in "Little Men."

To be directed by Jon Watts, the next Spider-Man film debuts in theaters in IMAX and 3D on July 28, 2017. Sony Pictures will finance and release the next installment of the $4 billion Spider-Man franchise on July 28, 2017."Spider-Man" is currently the most successful franchise in the history of Sony Pictures.
