Actor is unrecognizable for new movie role

With a receding hairline and big belly, Matthew McConaughey is totally unrecognizable for his new movie role in 'Gold.'

 

Matthew McConaughey doesn't look anything like his sexy real self on the set of his new movie,

The Oscar-winner looked unrecognizable while in costume on Sunday to film the upcoming movie in New York City.

In the movie which is set for a 2016 release, McConaughey plays a struggling businessman Kenny Wells, who travels to the Indonesian Jungle in search of gold.

This isn't the first time the actor is transforming his appearance for roles. In 2013, he lost 40lbs to play the role of an HIV-positive man in 'Dallas Buyers Club, which earned him his first ever Oscar.

'Gold' is directed by Academy Award winner Stephen Gaghan and produced by Teddy Schwarzman.

The upcoming movie also stars Edgar Ramirez, Corey Stoll, Toby Kebbell, Bruce Greenwood and Stacy Keach.
