Her performance had judges Simon CowellHeidi KlumHowie Mandel and Mel B as well as guest judge Seal give her a standing ovation.

“What I can say for sure is you deserved your place here tonight, not just on your story, but on your talent. That’s the truth tonight,” Cowell said after her performance.

Kechi shared a photo of herself after she watched the show with fellow burn survivors, thanking the judges for saying the words she needed to hear.

"Tonight was overwhelming…idk. I got to watch the show with all the @shrinershospitals kids, fellow burns survivors, and it was just so fulfilling…and now. Live shows, huh. I’m just so grateful to God, guys, for allowing me to get this far, and I’m eternally grateful to Seal and Simon for saying the words I needed to hear: that I deserved to be on the show based on my voice, not just my story.
