'Furious 7' director to wheel upcoming 'Aquaman' movie

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced James Wan of 'Furious Seven' as the director of the studio’s upcoming Aquaman feature film.

 

Following the success of 'which is currently the fourth most successful movie of all time, James Wan is set to direct 'Aquaman.'

Warner Bros. made the announcement on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, stating that the 'Furious 7' director would helm the upcoming film.

“We’ve been so lucky to have worked with James, first on New Line’s ‘The Conjuring’ and now on their upcoming ‘The Conjuring 2, and are thrilled to have him on board as we continue to expand our DC slate. " - Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, Warner Bros. Pictures says.

The upcoming 'Aquaman' movie which stars Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones.) will make its debut in 2018.

Written by Kurt Johnstad, the upcoming film will be produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder and Zack Snyder.
