We love to know how our favourite Nigerian actors get into character for different movies, and in this exclusive interview with Pulse Nigeria, Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna has one or two things to share.

According to the one time AMVCA nominee, it wasn't easy for him at first, but time and maturity has played a huge part in his acting career.

"Getting into character at first was hard, and I would blame that on tension. Every time I saw a script, I got tensed, he said."

"I always had that mindset of 'how would I bring this to life'. 'How would people see me in this character'. 'What are the things that I want to bring out in this character.'"

"Maturity in the business and time has put me in a place where I probably just get into character while reading the script."

"I try not to read a script while I'm on a different project. I try to finish that project and focus on another script.

"I do my breakdown, get on set and talk to the director. If the script writer is there, better for me, because I get to know what he or she had in mind while writing that story, then, action is the next."

The actor also spoke on taking a character home with him. According to him, there are characters you just can't help but take home as an actor.

He explained further using Yvonne Okoro's upcoming movie 'Ghana Must Go.'
