In a recent interview with Wendy Williams, actor Ice Cube spoke on the much talked about "Straight Outta Compton" snub.
According to him, he expected more nominations, but he isn't pissed or surprised.
"I'm not pissed. I'm not surprised. It's the Oscars, they do what they do. The people love the movie, the people supported the movie. Number one at the box office, over $200 million, I can't be mad, he said.
The movie crossed $200 million at the box office to become the highest grossing movie from an African-American director.
'Directed by F. Gary Gary, the biopic of Los Angeles rap group N.W.A. had a budget of $29 million.
It opened to a total of $56.1million on its first weekend, and led the box office for three consecutive weeks after its opening.
The film tells the story of how some young men transformed the music and pop culture the moment they told the world the truth about life in the hood.
The record breaking biopic features O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E.
