Embattled AGN president alleges character assassination by Emeka Ike

More drama keep unfolding in the Actors Guild of Nigeria as the embattled president, Ibinabo Fiberesima has decried an alleged assassination of her character by Emeka Ike.

Following a statement by Mcsmith Ochendo, who was favoured in a federal high court ruling which sacked the presidency of Ibinabo Fiberesima on March 16, 2015, Fiberesima has decried the assassination of her character by both Ochendo and Ike.

In an exclusive chat with Pulse on Thursday, April 16, 2015, Ibinabo stressed that she's perturbed that her character and personality has been dragged in the mud by Ike and Ochendo after the court ruling in their favour on March 16, 2015 by a Federal High Court.

Speaking on the statement, Fiberesima said, "It's saddening how people just malign your character all for position. I feel terribly bad that my personality and family name is been dragged in the mud by Ochendo and Emeka Ike over the presidency of AGN.

"Ibinabo Fiberesima is an entity while the president of AGN is another. Why they would leave the real issues and attack the personality is what baffles me. Yes, a ruling of the Federal High Court favoured Mcsmith Ochendo but was Emeka Ike part of that suit?" she asked rheteroically.

Continuing, Fiberesima said she had exercised her right as a Nigerian citizen by appealing the judgement and until the court gives judgement, it would only be wise of Ochendo and Ike to stop forestalling trouble.

"We have appealed the judgement and the case is still very much in court. Furthermore, the Federal high court gave 90-days to surrender the Guild’s documents but this people won't even allow the stipulated time lapse before they start causing trouble.

"How can I be chasing people away from the secretariat with thugs and hoodlums when I'm not even in the country as we speak? Rather, they are the ones, who have employed their cohorts and thugs to harass staff and guild members at the secretariat.

"My final appeal is for these people to allow us all follow the laws of the land and not put laws in their own hands all because they want to rule AGN. It's saddening and I feel so bad because I had thought times like this have passed away in AGN but I guess I was wrong."
