With Quinn’s fate unknown at the end of last season, the new season six trailer teases his return and ends with Quinn’s voiceover asking Carrie, “What happened to me?”
Season six which will tackle the after effects of the U.S. presidential election, will have the entire season take place between election day and the inauguration of the President-elect, Elizabeth Marvel.
The sixth season of "Homeland" which will star Claire Danes, Rupert Friend, F. Murray Abraham and Mandy Patinkin, will be set in the US after a presidential election.
Taking place several months after the previous season, Carrie is back in the United States, living in Brooklyn, New York.
She is now working at a foundation whose efforts are to provide aid to Muslims living in the United States. The season features a presidential election, and takes place between election day and inauguration day.
The show which has won eight Emmy Awards and five Golden Globes since its debut in 2011, has already been renewed for two more seasons.
"Homeland" will premiere on Sunday, January 15, 2017.
