Seven weeks after tweeting his exit from the hit animated comedy, 'The Simpsons,' it has been confirmed that Harry Shearer has rejoined the series.
Harry Shearer who voices Mr. Burns, Smithers, Ned Flanders, Principal Skinner amongst others, will not be leaving 'The Simpsons.'
This report is coming seven weeks after the actor tweeted his exit from show.
“From James L. Brooks’ lawyer: ‘show will go on, Harry will not be part of it, wish him the best.’ This because I wanted what we’ve always had: the freedom to do other work. Of course, I wish him the very best.” - he had tweeted.
FOX has however confirmed that Shearer will be a major part of the upcoming 27th season through the 30th, as he has now signed the same contract as other five members of the core voice cast.
Being the longest-running scripted show in television history, 'The Simpson' has won 31 Emmy Awards, 31 Annie Awards and was nominated for an Academy Award in 2012.
The Simpsons' 27th season airs on September 27.
