Shonda Rhimes is 'uncertain' about Meredith's love life after Derek's death

In season 11 of 'Grey's Anatomy,' showundefinedleaving Meredith Grey heartbroken.

In a recent interview with TVLine, Shonda Rhimes revealed that she's uncertain about Meredith finding love again on show.

“I am as ambivalent as the character is, because I guess I’m Meredith’s stand-in. The death of Derek was incredibly hard, so I feel like we’re going to see how it goes. We’re going to watch it evolve and take it as it comes.”

The showrunner oncer hinted that it's still early for Meredith to fall in love, as she is still grieving the absence of Derek.

“Meredith is single and she is living this life that she’s never thought she’d be living again,” Shonda said.

“She’s living in a house with her sisters. She’s surrounded by women who are dating and having a whole life and she’s not interested in all that. She's starting to wonder, ‘Is there a second life here?'

Following Derek Shepard's death, Courtney Williams launched a petition on Change.org“It’s like you’ve killed the President of Grey’s Anatomy!” he wrote. “YOU HAVE TO BRING DEREK BACK! NOW! IMMEDIATELY!”
