Nigerian Actor Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Movie Wins Big At Golden Glove Awards

"12 Years a Slave" which also featured Kenyan actress, Lupita Nyong’o, entered the Golden Globe Awards with seven nominations but walked away with only one win -- the one that mattered, best motion picture drama.

Ace Nigerian actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor, was a happy man last night as "12 Years a Slave", a movie he starred in, won the awards for ‘Best Motion Picture – DRAMA’, at the 71 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills, California.

The Golden Globes Awards is an annual award ceremony organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, to celebrate the art of movie making.

Other winners on the night include, Columbia’s “American Hustle” movie, which won the award for ‘Best Motion Picture-Comedy’. Lead comedy actress, Amy Adams and supporting actress, Jennifer Lawrence, were also winners.
