Fojo Media's 'Kasanova' just premiered on Netflix, joining the streamer's increasing list of Nollywood acquisitions.

The 2019 romantic comedy is directed by Oluseyi Asurf and stars an exciting cast including Ireti Doyle, Wole Ojo, Binta Ayo Mogaji, Odunlade Adekola, Helen Paul, Ruby Akubueze, Alvin Abayomi, Chinezie Imo, Tomiwa Tegbe and Toyin Abraham in her AMVCA nominating performance.

Toyin Abraham was pregnant during the 'Kasanova' shoot

Star actress, Toyin Abraham shot 'Kasanova' while pregnant for her son, Ire Ajeyemi. The new mom was reportedly about four months pregnant. In the romcom, Abraham plays the character Bisola, a hilariously nosy housekeeper. Her performance earned her an AMVCA Best Actress in a Comedy nomination.

Dakore Egbuson-Akande and Ramsey Nouah were first contacted to play leads

The roles brought to life by Ireti Doyle and Wole Ojo was first offered to Dakore Egbuson-Akande and Ramsey Nouah but the actors were unable to meet the scheduled dates for principal photography. Doyle and Ojo's performance was however one of the film's biggest highlights.

In case you are wondering where the hilly scenery from 'Kasanova' was shot, you needn't wonder no more. The film's makers took the love to Abeokuta's beautiful Olumo Rock. 'Kasanova' was also partly shot at the University of Lagos and in other areas of Lagos.
