After much long wait, Melissa Rivers has joined Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski as the new co-host of Fashion Police.
E! announced the recent and much awaited addition to the TV show made popular by Melissa's late mum, Joan Rivers, on Wednesday, June 17, 2015.
An elated Melissa, who would also stay as the Executive Producer of the show says she's excited with the opportunity given to her by the management of E!.
In her words, 'I’m very excited to be given the opportunity to continue to work with my E! and ‘Fashion Police’ family.'
47-years old Melissa will join the hosts as the show returns on August 31, 2015 with two rotating celebrity guests in each episode.
A statement from Jeff Olde, the network’s EVP of programming and development said, 'Melissa helped shape ‘Fashion Police’ into an iconic TV series that couples fashion with comedy. We are pleased to now also feature Melissa in front of the ‘Fashion Police’ cameras … And with the added flavor of rotating panelists, the show will deliver fresh, different and unpredictable fashion reviews with each new episode.'
The future of Fashion Police has been rocky after Melissa’s mom Joan passed away last year with Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin quitting the show after the seventh episode.
