Expo- Curtain Call For BOBTV 2012!
The ninth edition of Africa’s leading Film and Television Programmes Expo also known as BOBTV came to an end on Thursday, March 15, 2012 after a series of entertaining and educative activities at the Ladi Kwali conference centre, Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja.

Prominent faces from the Nigerian movie scene who attended BOBTV 2012 include Bob Manuel, Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, Paul Obazele, Francis Duru, Chris Obi-Rapu (Director of the first Nollywood movie, Living in Bondage), Gabriel Afolayan among others.
Casts of the most watched Mnet Soap Tinsel, Matilda Obaseki and Kunle Coker also stormed the expo to have a chat with delegates at the expo. They took time out to speak on the need for more creative minds in the movie industry and also signed autographs for lovers of their work.
“I am very excited to have attended this year’s expo because I believe with a platform like BOBTV and a dedicated government, the creative industry would definitely grow to meet international standards in the next few years” Kunle Coker says.

BOBTV 2012 featured special film screenings and premieres of Nigerian movies like “Adesuwa” by Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, “Big Daddy” by Chris Ihidero, and “Irapada” by Kunle Afolayan. There was also an exclusive cocktail and dinner event which was organized by Highbury College, an international institution where guests mingled and enjoyed the evening.
The University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu state beat five other universities who entered into the university challenge and won the prize of production support worth 1million naira to develop their ten minutes film into a full length movie with a professional production team.

In the bid to fight against human trafficking in Africa, guests and delegates gathered to show their support by signing on a “Fight against women trafficking” banner provided by BOBTV organizers.
