Season 3 cast young Cookie, Lucious

According to Deadline, Jeremy Carver and Ajiona Alexus has been cast to play young Lucious and Cookie in season three of "Empire."

According to deadline, the duo will play young Cookie Lyon and Lucious Lyon, as the upcoming season will be offering viewers more insight into the younger lives of Lucious and Cookie.

Cudi joins latest additions including Kid Cudi, Taye Diggs, Sierra McClain, French Montana, and Birdman.

"Empire" centers around a hip hop music and entertainment company, Empire Entertainment, and the drama among the members of the founders' family as they fight for control of the company.

The show returned for its second season on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. In undefined, Lucious got married, and the season ended with the possible death of a Lyon.
