Get ready for the return of the Lyons as there is an official date for the second season of Fox hit series 'Empire'.

The announcement was confirmed via the show's writers' Twitter page.
While the first season featured 12 episodes, the second season is returning with 18 episodes in two halves.
The second episode will also feature guest stars Chris Rock, Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz.
