'Dry' Stephanie Linus' movie gets 8 ZAFAA Global Awards 2015 nominations

Zubaida Ibrahim Fagge who made her debut in the critically acclaimed 'Dry,' got a nomination in the 'Best Child Performance' category.

Following its star-studded Lagos and Abuja premiere, and positive reviews, Stephanie Linus' directorial debut 'Dry' has grabbed eight nominations for the ZAFAA Global Awards 2015.

The movie received nominations in the following categories;

  1. Best Child Performance – Zubaida Ibrahim Fagge

  2. Best Producer – Stephanie Linus

  3. Best Film

  4. Best Supporting Actor Female – Rekiya Attah

  5. Best Actor Female – Stephanie Linus

  6. Best Director – Stephanie Linus

  7. Best Editing

  8. Best Cinematography

Inspired by the true story of a young girl named Aisha, the movie features Darwin Shaw as Dr. Alex, the legendary Liz Benson Ameye as the Matron and Bill McNamara as Dr. Brown.


'Dry' also stars Zubaida Ibrahim as Halima, the teenager who had to endure a life not designed for a child: to be married to a man who was more than four times her age.

The Lagos premiere of movie had top celebrities like  Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Sola Sobowale, Mo Abudu, Ruth Osime, amongst others in attendance.

Stephanie won her first film award for 'Dry' at the Geena Davis and ARC Entertainment’s inaugural Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) in Arkansas, USA.
