Actress talks quality and disposable Nollywood films

What are your thoughts on disposable and quality Nollywood movies?

In an exclusive interview with Pulse Nigeria, Dakore Akande spoke on the topic, stating that Nollywood evolved from disposable Nollywood films.

"I think that's where Nollywood evolved from, and we can't run away from that. That's where Nollywood's root is.  But I'm very encouraged by where Nollywood is headed now. And I think there's a market for everybody.

If there are people who want to watch the disposable films, that's fine. But if you wanna watch quality films, something that would be timeless and have a message, then you can do that too. Before it was just those disposable films at people's disposals, but now we have varieties."

Going further, the actress stated that varieties encourage competition, with everyone trying to produce a better and bigger movie," the actress said.
