J.J. Abrams has re-teamed with Tavis Smiley for an event series based on the last days of Michael Jackson, based on author Smiley’s "Before You Judge Me: The Triumph and Tragedy of Michael Jackson's Last Days."
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Tavis Smiley is working with J.J. Abrams’ to adapt his book about the late pop icon into an event television series.
Smiley’s book, "Before You Judge Me: The Triumph and Tragedy of Michael Jackson’s Last Days" is a powerful chronicle of the sixteen weeks leading up to King of Pop Michael Jackson's death.

This marks the second adaptation between Smiley and Abrams’ company, as the duo have teamed up to adapt Smiley’s novel about Martin Luther King Jr. into an event series.
The book "Before You Judge Me: The Triumph and Tragedy of Michael Jackson’s Last Days " was released today, Tuesday, June 21, 2016.
