The reality TV show which aims at awakening the cultural heritage of Nigeria as well as showcasing the country's rich tourism potentials, is produced by Chinyere Ogbukagu, the CEO of De Havillah Timeless Production, with top Nollywood director, Ifeanyi Onyeabor as the Technical Director while Nollywood star, Segun Arinze is the host.
The Heroes Reality TV Show Debuts
A new reality TV show, The Heroes, is all set to make its debut in the country with its theme 'Let's Go Back To The Roots'.
According to Onyeabor, the idea of the show is to bring in ladies from all the states of Nigeria including the Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, into one house where they will be camped and trained to become the ambassadors for the show, and these ambassadors will in turn train the real contestants on the rudiments of culture, tradition, local language,tribes, marriages, foods and drinks.
Onyeabor, at a press conference, said:
The show is all about Nigeria's cultural heritage, traditions and tourism. We have lost our culture due to external influence and we hope to re-instill this cultural values in our children.
Actor Segun Arinze had this to say:
We must promote our culture and the Heroes Reality Tv Show is just the right platform for this. It is a show with a difference because it will open a new phase for the younger generation to understand where we are coming from by going back to the grassroots.
As the host, it will be gruelling in the house. The contestants must know all about the various tourism attractions in this country; they must be grounded in their traditions and culture. In a nutshell, the Heroes must take us back to our core values.
The show has lots of sponsors including First City Monument Bank, FCMB, IGIC Limited, 4th Bridge Global Ltd and Marco-Polo Hotel and Suites and has been endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
The overall winner will take home a cash prize of N5 million plus a brand new SUV Jeep.
