Following an interesting year for the African cinema, Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards is set to announce the 2017 nominees.

The announcement will air on all Africa Magic channels, and public voting will open immediately after the announcement.

The 2016 edition of the AMVCAs held on March 5, 2016, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria, with IK Osakioduwa and Minenhle ‘Minnie’ Dlamini as hosts.

Since the maiden edition in 2013, the AMVCAs have celebrated the contributions of African filmmakers, actors and technicians to the success of the continent’s film and television industry.
