The late renowned filmmaker, Amaka Igwe, was honored with the 'Lifetime Achievement' award at the 2015 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) which held on Saturday, March 6, 2015.

The award was presented by Nollywood veteran, Richard Mofe Damijo, who celebrated her for her great contribution in the industry, also thanking her for giving him an opportunity in her hit production 'Checkmate'.

The award was received by late Amaka's husband and business partner, Charles Igwe, who said all his wife ever wanted was to give her best.
