RMD, Gideon Okeke, Isoken win big at AMAA 2018 in Kigali

RMD, Gideon Okeke, Joke Silva and movies like 'Five Fingers For Marseille' and 'Isoken' are some of the big winners at the AMAA 2018 which held in Rwanda.

The Africa Movie Academy Awards held at the Intare Conference Arena in Kigali, capital of Rwanda, on October 20, 2018.

Richard Mofe Damijo, Dakore Egbuson, Gideon Okeke, Joke Silva and the movie 'Isoken' gave Nollywood the needed voice at the movie awards ceremony, which saw a South African movie, 'Five Fingers For Marseille', winning the Overall Best movie of the year.

In the same vein, Ego Boyo's movie, Hotel called Memory' won the awards for the Best Editing, and Best Soundtrack.

Biola Alabi and BB Sasore's Banana Island Ghost emerged the winner for the Tony Elumelu award for best comedy.

Other winners include Ghanaian director, Frank Rajah Arase, who won the award for the Best Director and 'Icheke Oku,' a Nollywood movie that won the Best Makeup category.
