On Saturday, June 20, 2015, Los Angeles would stand still as the glamorous LA Live complex in Downtown would play host to top Nollywood and Hollywood stars at the unveil of nominees for the 2015 edition of the African Movie Academy Awards, AMAA.

Pulse gathered that Nollywood stars that include Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, O.C Ukeje, Kunle Afolayan, Fathia Balogun, Patience Ozokwor and would join celebrities that would be present as the organisers unveil the nominees in the 26 categories of the awards ceremony.

While Nigeria's soulful singer, Asa and her band would serenade guests with tunes from her archives, other celebrities expected at the event include Kingsley Ogoro, Paul Okoli, Chioma Chukwuka, Emem Isong, Doris Simon, Eniola Badmus, Aki and Paw Paw, Lydia Forson among others.

In the words of the Chief Executive Officer of AMAA, Dayo Ogunyemi, ‘A unique aspect of the nomination event this year is that AMAA's parent organization, the Africa Film Academy (whose advisory board Danny Glover co-chairs) is developing a slate of ten films that will be co-productions between black filmmakers across the globe.

'The stories to be pitched within this slate will have a global appeal but will speak to the aspirations and stories of the global black community. Accordingly the attendees for this event have been selected with a view to ensuring the highest level of returns and enhancing the global value chain for black filmmakers,' Ogunyemi said.
