Newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr. has been cast as the legendary rapper, while a familiar actor has been casted as the Notorious B.I.G.
After a long wait, the Tupac Shakur biopic, "All Eyez on Me" has not only kicked off filming, but has also selected its lead actor, and Biggie character.
Newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr. has been casted as the legendary rapper. While the cast hasn't been announced officially, Demetrius took to his Twitter account to share the news.
Also joining Demetrius is Jamal Woolard, who has been cast as Shakur’s friend turned rival, rapper Christopher Wallace, AKA The Notorious B.I.G.
Unlike Shipp, Woolard made his screen debut playing B.I.G. in the 2009 biopic "Notorious".
In April, John Singleton walked out on the project as the director, and was replaced by music video director, Benny Boom.
