Calling all Ghana-based film-makers and creative peeps!

Do you love film?

Are you passionate about working with young people? Do you want to make a difference? Do you want to be part of an all-star film crew of some of Accra’s most talented artists? Then this year’s Akosia Ghana project might just be your summer made awesome. We are looking for 8 Ghana-based volunteers to pioneer our latest project in Accra.This 4-week project will be intensive and focused, 40 kids [ages 10-16] will work with a volunteers (that’s you!) to fulfill the various roles necessary for making a film. You will work in partnership with the selected participants, using the Akosia philosophy of experiential learning and our ‘ask-don’t-tell’ method of teaching. You will teach them all they know and give first-hand experience of the job, honing specialist skills that they can take into their future.We are putting together a film crew of Accra’s top talent in film-making. From producers to editors to camera people to sound engineers- we’re looking for a full crew to make 2 amazing short films. As with all of our projects, the creative control will be in the hands of the children with you guiding them with your expertise and the Akosia coaching methods.Are you ready to give a voice to the young people of Accra?
