Short film to premiere November 27

The film features comedian Whochey Nnadi and popular skit comedian Jaykay Kenny popularly known as  Shortman of the Craze Clown team playing lead roles.

 

A Great Day” will premiere in Lagos on Friday November 27 at the Filmhouse Cinema, Surulere.

The short film by James Abinibi follows the day of a job seeker Tony who has to overcome several obstacles as he heads out to a job interview.

The film features comedian Whochey Nnadi and popular skit comedian Jaykay Kenny popularly known as  Shortman of the Craze Clown team playing lead roles. The film also sees radio host and Twitter influencer Cute Kimani playing a key role.

“There are a lot of untold stories that need to be told for the global audience to see, they just need to be told in the most realistic ways. “A Great Day” is a film everybody should watch”, said Abinibi the film’s director and producer.

The release of this project marks Abinibi’s solo debut in the Nigerian filmmaking industry. The creative director began his career almost 10 years ago with the production of music videos. He has previously worked with multi award winning producer and film director Kunle Afolayan on some of his projects.

Here’s a breakdown of "A Great Day’s" synopsis:

Tony is woken up by Ade who brought a shirt he helped him wash and iron in preparation for the job interview.

On Tony's way to the interview he encounters a series of setbacks that could have stopped him from getting to the location of the interview, but he forges ahead, regardless. The film is basically a breakdown of the hilarious events that happened on the road to the interview.
