While there's still "Banana Island Ghost" and "My Wife and I" showing in cinemas, September is almost here with enough dose of entertainment.

Pulse Movies has rounded up five new movies coming to the cinemas in September, including Kunle Afolayan's "The Tribunal" and Don Omope's "Tatu."

Check out six Nollywood movies you should look forward to this September.

1. "Tatu"

Directed by Don Omope and based on a book by Dr Abraham Nwankwo, the movie will be released on September 8.

Tatu is a contemporary take on the classic African epic adventure story of the conflict that arises from a mother’s quest to have a child and all the complications that follow.

2. "What Lies Within"


"What Lies Within" chronicles 24 hours in the lives of two women Fiona (Michelle Dede) and Ireti (Vanessa Nzediegwu) as they are thrown in the middle of a situation that adversely affects their lives and those of their friends and family.

"What Lies Within" will make its debut on September 8, 2017.

3. "Dognapped"

Nigeria's first live action animated comedy, "Dognapped" is a family comedy about the life of an up-and-coming comedian Andy, who forms a relationship with a talking dog Bruno.

Produced by Temilola Adebayo and directed by Kayode Kasum, the movie will be released on September 29, 2017.

4. "The Women"

"The Women" follows the events that occur when a group of women and their partners decide to go on a weekend getaway.

The movie makes its debut on September 29.

5. "The Tribunal"

A collaboration between African Magic films and Golden Effects Pictures, the movie will premiere on September 1, 2017.

In "Tribunal", “Jimi Disu, a charge and bail’ lawyer is approached by a young, enthusiastic, fresh law school graduate, Tanimowo to defend her friend, an albino, who has been unfairly relieved of his duties at work, Jimi Disu is presented a chance to battle his old law firm.

6. "Mentally"


Produced, written and directed by James Abinibi, "Mentally" will debut on September 29.

The movie centres on the life of Akin, who despite his mother's warnings, decides to relocate to Lagos where his only contact Emeks (a former school mate) promised him enormous opportunities through which he can have a better source of livelihood.
