"My Wife and I" opens in cinemas on August 25, 2017, and who better to explain why Nigerians should go see the movie than Omoni Oboli, who plays a lead.

In an interview with Pulse Nigeria, the actress and filmmaker shared five reasons why Nigerians should see "My Wife and I," a romantic comedy which pairs her with Ramsey Nouah after 10 years.

Check out those reasons;

1. Phenomenal performances

"Ramsey [Nouah] and I were phenomenal in this film. Everyone who has seen it has come to say we did an amazing job."

2. It's a reunion

"The last time you saw both of us together was in "The Figurine." We have not been in any film together since that time. So, it's like a reunion.

And this is different from "The Figurine." In "The Figurine," he was in the friendship zone and he stayed there forever.

In "My Wife and I," he is actually my husband. So, sometimes, if you persist, you could get the girl 10 years later[laughs]."

3. It's entertaining

"It's very entertaining. It's just pure fun. It's not the kind of movie you go to and you're tired or bored. It's a feel good film. You watch it and you enjoy it."

4. It has life lessons

"It has a lot of life lessons. Lessons like you really can't judge someone until you walk in their shoes.

"Because you can't really tell what someone is going through until you actually become them. So, it has a lot of lessons for couples and life generally."

5. You will be contributing to the Nigerian economy

"Every time you watch a Nollywood movie in the cinema, you're aiding the Nigerian economy, and trust me,  one way or the other, the money comes right back to you.

Because all that money stays in Nigeria, it doesn't go to Hollywood."
