From Peter of Psquare to Vector tha Viper, here are 5 Nigerian musicians who made their acting debut in 2017.

1. Peter Okoye

One of the most successful talents working in the Nigerian music industry, Peter of the popular Psquare duo made his acting debut in a an upcoming film titled 'Lion Heart."

Also Genevieve Nnaji's directorial debut, the star-studded film features Peter alongside acting legends such as Chika Okpala, Pete Edochie, Kanayo O Kanayo, Onyeka Onwenu and Nkem Owoh.

2. Chike Osebuka

In 2016, Chike emerged as The Voice Nigeria 1st runner-up. In March 2017, he released the music video for his first single, "Fancy U".

On May 1, 2017, the singer made his acting debut in Africa Magic's Telenovela, "Battleground,"where he plays Mayowa, the pampered son of a billionaire.

3. Phyno

One of the most successful and popular indigenous rappers out there, the "Fada Fada" singer made his debut in the above-mentioned anticipated movie,"Lion Heart."

For his acting debut, Phyno plays Onyeka Onwenu's on-screen son.

4. Nonso Bassey

In 2015, Nonso Bassey emerged a finalist on The Voice Nigeria debut season. He has since featured on  VJ Adams' song titled “My Dreams," and is currently working on a new music project.

He made his acting debut as Dr Emeka, a doctor entangled in a love triangle on Africa Magic's "Battleground."

5. Vector

The "Lafiaji" rapper made his major acting debut in the upcoming Nollywood movie "June," which stars him alongside Uche Jombo, Michelle Dede and Chinyere Winfred.
